A man has been charged with murder after a 28-year-old man was found dead the day after he was allegedly attacked in east London.
Lithuanian national Edgaras Kondrotas was discovered at his home in Forest Gate on January 12.
Detectives previously said they believed he died from injuries sustained in a reported attack in Leyton High Road the previous evening.
It is thought Mr Kondrotas was assaulted at about 11.30pm on January 11 before he took public transport back to his home.
A post-mortem examination gave a cause of death as blunt force trauma to the abdomen.
Iringas Makasejevas, 39, was today charged with murder after being rearrested on Wednesday.
Makasejevas will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on January 22.
Three other men arrested in connection with Mr Kondrotas’ death remain on police bail.
