Police workers escaped miraculously unhurt after a hammer-wielding thug walked into a north London police station and smashed all the windows.
The vandal is said to have broken the glass inside the office, which separates officers from the public, before heading outside and smashing the exterior panes as well.
It happened in Edmonton Police Station, in Fore Street, at about 9.10am today, Scotland Yard said.
Shortly after the incident, a 24-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and causing criminal damage.

He is being held at a north London police station.
