Man charged with murder after fatal stabbing in Ealing pub

A 58-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man was fatally stabbed in a pub in Ealing.

Police found a man suffering stab injuries inside the Star and Scorpion pub, on Uxbridge Road, at 11.55pm on Saturday.

Metropolitan Police officers attended along with ambulance staff but, despite their best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination and formal identification will be arranged in due course, the Met Police added.

Timothy Simon, of Islington, was arrested on Sunday and a day later charged with murder.

Simon will appear in custody at Uxbridge Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
