Police today issued a CCTV image of a man suspected of raping a woman in a Travelodge hotel in east London.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was attacked in a bathroom after she went back to a party in a room at the hotel in Park Lane, Stratford.

Detectives from the Met’s sex offences unit released the image of a man in a track suit saying they want to speak to him in connection with the assault.

The alleged attack took place on Thursday March 27 last year between 1.30 and 4.45am The man is described as Asian, in his mid 20s, approximately 5ft 7ins tall, of average build, with short dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.

Anyone with any information should ring the police non emergency number 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
