He was wearing his school uniform when he was attacked.

Tyler’s friend said he had been travelling to see her after school with some flowers to mark the day her father had died 11 years ago.

She said as she visited the scene with her family: “I lost my dad 11 years ago and now I have lost my friend on the same day. I’m devastated. He was going to come to me with flowers. I don’t know why he was attacked.

“He was just the loveliest boy. He would do anything for anyone. He was so ambitious and supportive of everyone he knows.”

She added: “He was not in gang or ever in trouble. When he walked in a room he would make everyone feel comfortable and smile. A friend told me what happened and my world fell apart.”

DCI Mark Rogers, who is leading the investigation, said: “My officers will be back at the scene one-week on from Tyler murder as we continue to gather information about the events that led to this tragic incident.

“If you have any information that you think could help this investigation then please either speak to one of my team or give police a call.”

Any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the incident room on 020 8345 3715. Alternatively, call 101 quoting CAD 4741/14Mar or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
