Police are hunting a rapist who dragged a woman into a residential garden in north London and attacked her.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, was dragged from the street in Long Lane, Finchley, by an unknown man before she was attacked.

The suspect is described as a mixed race man, around 30 years-old with a stocky build and short dark hair.

At the time of the attack he was wearing a red coloured t-shirt and dark coloured trousers.

Detectives from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are investigating the offence which happened in the early hours of Saturday morning.

There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing.
