A cyclist is being treated in hospital after a collision in north London today.

The crash, at around midday, happened just outside Seven Sisters station in Tottenham.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called just before midday to reports of a road traffic accident at Seven Sisters Road.

"A man in his 20s was taken to Middlesex Hospital as a priority after suffering a leg injury."

Police confirmed a cyclist was involved in a non-fatal collision and was being treated for non life threatening injuries.

Tottenham High Road was closed in a northbound direction for just over an hour, Transport for London said.

Reports on Twitter suggested the collision was between a lorry and a cyclist.

The collision comes on the same day the Metropolitan Police launched a video to encourage cyclists and truck drivers to better understand how to share London's roads.
