Young girl suffers injuries to her back and legs in dog attack

A young girl was rushed to hospital after being mauled by a dog at home.

Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to the scene at a property on Raglan Road, Plumstead, just before 8pm last night.

They found the youngster suffering from injuries to her legs and back.

She was taken to a south London hospital where she remains in a stable condition, police said.

Police officers seized the dog and it was taken to a local police station kennel.

No arrests have been made, enquiries are ongoing.
