Made In Chelsea haunt loses bid to open until 3am

Haunt: Broadway Bar and Grill

A bid to extend the opening hours of a top bar and regular haunt of the Made in Chelsea cast has been rejected.

Former West End club operator Brenhan Magee applied to Hammersmith and Fulham council to extend the opening hours of The Broadway Bar and Grill in Fulham - which is also regularly frequented by former and current Chelsea players.

He made an application for the first-floor Library bar to stay open until 3am, or two additional hours, with the ground-floor pub also to stay open an extra hour until 2am.

But the council today confirmed to the Standard the application had “100 per cent been rejected.”

The move follows outcry from residents in nearby Barclay Road, where homes are worth up to £2.5 million. Some locals say party-goers leave litter, urinate and vomit on the streets.

Mr Magee said he was planning to reapply for his extended hours “in the next couple of weeks.”

He added he would be inviting residents to have a meeting to discuss their concerns.

He added: “We will be working with the council and residents to see how we can make this work.”
