A man was taken to hospital after falling off the roof of a community centre in east London last night.

Police and paramedics were called shortly after 10pm and found the man had fallen off the flat roof of the council-owned building in Regan Road, Hoxton.

The man was taken to A&E for treatment.

London Ambulance Service's joint response unit tweeted this picture of the scene, adding that - fortunately - the man sustained only minor injuries, despite needing to go to hospital.

It shows people spilling out of the community centre, which is in use, with a police car and a St John Ambulance parked nearby.
