Carmen rocks the Stowe set

26 June 2013

Stowe Opera has morphed into the Winslow Hall Opera, home of restaurateur Christopher Gilmour, with six performances of Bizet’s Carmen to be held between July 25 and August 3.

However, Stowe School continues its association with the opera because Winslow is offering parents of pupils free tickets for their teenagers.

Stowe headmaster Dr Anthony Wallersteiner, who recently staged a Supertramp concert for 2,000 at the school, said: “They will probably enjoy Carmen more than any of the festivals they attend over the summer.”

A likely story.
