Anonymous tech whizz Guccifer has caused a storm in the US after hacking the inboxes of everyone from Nicole Kidman to George Bush. He also stole the series four finale of Downton Abbey from Julian Fellowes’s inbox. If the hacker got round to reading the episode, thought to be the one which aired in the UK at Christmas, then he might have found it a rather close-to-home topic.
That plot saw the Granthams embroiled in scandal when a saucy private letter from the Prince of Wales was swiped by a dastardly gentleman.
