Sex talk at Notting Hill with Carol Martin-Sperry

Erotic passion was on everyone’s lips at Notting Hill’s Idler Academy last night, where Carol Martin-Sperry celebrated the launch of Sexual Healing, her guide to good sex, bad sex and no sex. The book reminds would-be adulterers that “deceit requires attention and discipline and is harder than it sounds” and adds that “so much is invested in the erect penis that it’s not surprising that it doesn’t always rise to the occasion”.

“It takes courage to write about sex,” said Martin-Sperry’s daughter, writer Anna Maconochie. “It takes a lot of courage to do it,” one guest added.
