We're not hearing much from the energy industry representatives

The BBC said this morning that representatives of the energy industry, battling accusations of overcharging customers, have been thin on the ground when it comes to giving interviews. Surely BBC Trust chairman Lord Patten, or BBC Trust vice-chairman Diane Coyle, could have been called on to field a few questions? Both are paid by EDF Energy to sit on its six-strong “stakeholder advisory panel”. Among their duties they must “act as advocates on the company’s behalf”.
