City Hall dries out just in time

Flooded: City Hall

The winner of the mayoral vote and other local elections will be announced at City Hall in spite of flooding which necessitated a hunt for an alternative venue.

Today EDF Energy said it was safe to turn the power back on so City Hall can be used on Friday afternoon.

Thames Water apologised for the flooding.
