David Cameron has condemned the murder of three Israeli teenager as an “inexcusable act of terror.”

Naftali Frenkel and Gilad Shaar, both aged 16, and 19-year-old Eyal Yifrach, were discovered dead in the village of Halhul, West Bank, this afternoon.

The trio were last seen alive close to where they were discovered earlier this month.

Israel has accused Hamas of abducting the teens as they were hitchhiking home, but the militant group has denied the claims.

A massive Israeli search operation was sparked following their disappearance on June 12 in Palestinian towns and cities. The teens had been studying at Jewish schools in the West Bank.

The Prime Minister said in a statement: “This was an appalling and inexcusable act of terror perpetrated against young teenagers. Britain will stand with Israel as it seeks to bring to justice those responsible.

“Tonight my thoughts and prayers are with the families of Gilad, Naftali and Eyal. No parent should have ever to suffer such heartache or grief."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “They were kidnapped and murdered in cold blood by beasts. Hamas is responsible and Hamas will pay.”
