Facebook’s new London office is set to bring 800 jobs to the capital within the next year.

The social media tech company has opened a new office in the capital today in Rathbone Place, near Oxford Street.

The new positions will boost Facebook’s UK employees to a total of 2,300, making it the company’s largest engineering hub outside of the USA.

The office will also host a tech startup scheme, LDN LAB, which will aim to boost young businesses’ progress over the course of three months.
