Tube services are to be hit by major problems this weekend as a series of closures are put in palce.
The Circle line will be shut down entirely as improvement works are undertaken.
Transport for London said major maintenance work will affect four lines over Saturday and Sunday while construction on the new Crossrail will see closures on Overground services.
Works to improve Moorgate, Barbican and Liverpool Street stations will see the Circle line close. A section of track at Aldgate is also being replaced.
The Metropolitan line between King’s Cross St Pancras and Aldgate will also shut.
Elsewhere, the District line will be closed between Tower Hill and Barking for track and drainage upgrades at Aldgate East and Plaistow, as well as Crossrail works at Whitechapel.
The same works will affect trains on the Hammersmith and City line with no services between King’s Cross St Pancras and Barking.
Meanwhile, a series of closures also threaten to disrupt Overground passengers.
Services between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction, Surrey Quays and New Cross and Highbury and Islington and Shadwell have been suspended because of Crossrail works.
In addition, the line between Gospel Oak and Barking will shut completely on weekends starting on Saturday while Network Rail carry out a major project that will see new, longer trains run from 2018.
Services will also cease to run between South Tottenham and Barking from Saturday until Friday, September 23 on weekdays.
Maintenance in Addington will see London’s tram services halted between New Addington and Lloyd Park on Sunday.
TfL said replacement bus journeys to limit the disruption to passengers are in place.
