A thrill-seeking tea-lover has broken the world record for the highest biscuit dunk.

Simon Berry, 24, from Sheffield, plunged 75m on a bungee jump before successfully dipping a chocolate Hobnob in a mug of tea.

He held one wrist over the other to stabilise his hand as he soared towards his tiny target and became an official Guinness World Record holder.

Footage from a camera strapped to the pony-tailed adrenaline junkie’s head shows the moment he took his leap of faith and flew towards the tea.

High tea: Simon Berry dunked his biscuit from 75 metres

Mr Berry, who carried out the stunt in Bray, Berkshire, said: “It was pretty difficult - the team helped by getting me roughly in there in the right place, but going down and having to nail that cup of tea was pretty tricky.

"(It was) absolutely incredible - the feeling in my chest and seeing everyone's smiles, it was fantastic."

Mr Berry's bungee dunk was one of a number of challenges confirmed as part of Guinness World Records Day.
