Jade wedding bail issue examined

12 April 2012

The Ministry of Justice is looking at the bail conditions of Jade Goody's fiance after it emerged that she may have to spend her wedding night alone.

The cancer-stricken reality TV star will marry Jack Tweed on Sunday.

But the groom, who was released early from an 18-month prison sentence for assault last month, has had a plea to waive his bail conditions after the ceremony rejected, the Daily Mirror reported.

Justice Secretary Jack Straw has "enormous sympathy" for Goody and her family, a Ministry of Justice spokesman said.

He added: "She has shown extraordinary courage and our thoughts are with her. We are examining the issue."
