The Duchess of Cambridge cheered on Prince William at the Olympic Park in east London today as she carried out her final official engagements before going on maternity leave.

Kate, 36, who is expecting her third child next month, gave her husband a word of encouragement before he took to the court to try his hand at wheelchair basketball.

The prince, 35, celebrated after shooting a hoop at the third attempt.

The SportsAid event, at the Copper Box Arena, was looking ahead to the 2022 Commonwealth Games, which will be held in Birmingham.
