New details about Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding have been revealed, including what cake will feature at the anticipated event.

Baker Sophie Cabot has disclosed she will be preparing a red velvet and chocolate cake just one day before the wedding.

The London-based cake designer has been asked by Princess Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank to prepare the cake.

The cake is set to be a traditional cake, “with a modern feel”, according to Buckingham Palace.

And it is set to be autumn-themed as it includes the colours of the season and will be covered with detailed sugar work, including ivy.

She came to the attention of the royal couple through her involvement with The Duke of York’s Pitch @ Palace programme, where she supplied specially decorated biscuits.

Ms Cabot said: “I am incredibly excited to be given this wonderful opportunity to create such a special and unique cake.

“It has been lovely working with Princess Eugenie and Jack and I really hope they enjoy the cake on the day.”

The prince, five and princess, three, will be among pageboys and bridesmaids at the Royal Wedding along with Robbie's daughter, Theodora Williams.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's eldest two children and Robbie's six-year-old daughter, who is known as Teddy, will be among the pageboys and bridesmaids at the celebration in Windsor on Friday.

More than 800 guests will gather in the 15th-century Gothic chapel, five months after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex staged their star-studded nuptials in the same venue.
