Three people were lucky to escape serious injuries when a gunman fired a shot through a living room window in High Wycombe.

Thames Valley Police said the shot was fired at a house in Jubilee Road on Sunday at 10.45pm.

Three people were inside the home at the time but no-one was injured.

Police said they had no description of the suspect but a witness reported a person in dark clothing, possibly a man, running away from the scene.

Chief Inspector Rebecca Mears said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the vicinity of Jubilee Road last night to contact police immediately.

“This is a very serious offence and it was lucky that no-one was injured. I would therefore urge anyone who knows anything about the incident, no matter how insignificant you think the information is, to please search their conscience and tell the police.

“Thames Valley Police is conducting a thorough investigation into the offence and will be conducting house to house enquiries in the area."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Thames Valley Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
