A Good Samaritan has died after being hit by a car while giving CPR to a dying motorcyclist in Australia.
Emily Bartley, 27, a mother of two, was struck on a dimly-lit road in Melbourne after pulling over to help the man.
The motorcyclist, 37, who police said was driving “irresponsibly” before the crash, also died.
Her family said in a statement: “We are truly devastated. She was a genuinely caring person.”
Police are investigating both crashes.
Acting Detective Inspector Brad McArthur told 3AW that Mrs Bartley's husband John was "trying to take on board what's happened".
"This is a life-changing event for him and he will never get over this. These children are now without a mother," he said.
"The kids are early school age or not even school age, they're going to have to live their life without a mother."
