A man was shot dead by officers after live-streaming a police chase on Facebook, according to US authorities.
Brian Quinones, 30, from Minnesota, died from multiple gunshot wounds in the city of Richfield, officials said.
Police said a pursuit began at 10:22pm local time and Quinones died 10 minutes later.
It is not clear what may have happened before Quinones began his livestream. Details of what prompted the chase or the shooting were not immediately provided by authorities.
In the Facebook live stream, Quinones was seen calmly driving and checking his rearview mirror while music blares and police lights are seen flashing, according to reports.
Quinones apparently ends the chase when he stops and gets out of his car before a police foot chase ensues.
Gunfire can be heard and in emergency dispatch audio, officers can be heard yelling "drop the knife", Associated Press reports.
Before the video began, Quinones posted a note on Facebook saying "I am so sorry", KARE reported.
Authorities have not confirmed the authenticity of the video and it has since been removed from Facebook.
Quinones had a hip-hop persona called Blessed The MC. Local paper the Star Tribune reported that he released an album called "T.I.M.E. (This Is My Everything)” on the same day he died.
He shared the album on Facebook, writing "I pray you treasure it … my heart's inside it", the Star Tribune reports.
