Following the shock US Election result, which will see Donald Trump become the next President of the United States, many are setting their sights on the next election.

And one candidate in particular has captured the public's imagination, Michelle Obama.

The hashtag #michelle2020 has been trending on Twitter, already generating thousands of tweets.

And it seems the anti-Trump camp are placing their faith in the popular First Lady as the Democrat candidate in four years time.

Mrs Obama proved to be an inspirational First Lady to some during her husband's eight years as President, and has been held up as a role model for women.

And while some are using the hastag in jest, many others are deadly serious about the idea.

She has also been campaigning for Hillary Clinton, making a particularly memorable speech at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

Now some people are simply pleading with her to stand against Mr Trump next time around.
