Osama bin Laden had the viral ‘Charlie bit my finger’ video on his computer when he was shot and killed by US soldiers in 2011, it has emerged.

The CIA has released a collection of materials related to the Al Qaeda founder’s terror operations, including files stored on his computer at his hideout in Pakistan.

Among the files, which included children’s programmes such as Tom and Jerry and instructions for crocheting butterflies, was the world-famous viral video from 2007.

Recorded by Howard Davies-Carr, the 55-second clip shows his son Charlie biting the finger of brother Harry.

Mr Davies-Carr said he had no idea the man behind 9/11 would be one of the millions of fans of the video.

He told the Huffington Post: “I don’t know how to react. It’s hard to take in.

“You never can tell who has a lighter side. It’s hard to imagine he’s planning terrible things one minute and then laughing with his family over this the next.”

In total, 470,000 files have been released by the CIA this week.

CIA Director Mike Pompeo said: “Today’s release of recovered al-Qaeda letters, videos, audio files and other materials provides the opportunity for the American people to gain further insights into the plans and workings of this terrorist organization.”
