Cameron to attend basketball game
Prime Minister David Cameron will accompany US president Barack Obama to a college basketball game during an official visit to America next week, the White House has revealed.
In a move designed to emphasise the special relationship between the close allies, the pair will sit on the sidelines of a National Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament clash in Ohio.
The two leaders bonded over their love of sport during Mr Obama's state visit to the UK last May, teaming up to challenge pupils to a game of table tennis during a tour of the Globe Academy school in south London.
The US President is an avid basketball fan and regularly plays the popular US sport, while football-lover Mr Cameron has taken his son Arthur to watch his favourite team Aston Villa in the past.
The Prime Minister will travel across the Atlantic with wife Samantha next Tuesday and plans to attend a state dinner at the White House during their two-day stay.
Mr Obama and the Prime Minister are expected to discuss the forthcoming Nato and G8 summits and the issues in Iran, the Middle East and Afghanistan, during their time together.
