Hull KR have announced that hooker Keal Carlile has signed a new two-year contract at MS3 Craven Park.

The 23-year-old's previous deal was due to expire this year but he has now committed to the Robins until the end of 2015 in spite of interest from other clubs.

Carlile joined Rovers from Huddersfield last year and has made 15 Super League appearances for Craig Sandercock's side this season.

Carlile said: "I did have a couple of other options away from here but I'm really happy at Hull KR and am looking to become a better player under Sandy and the rest of the coaching staff.

"Being here for the next two years is what I wanted and I'm just delighted that it's all done now."
