Sayers battling elbow problem

Great Britain javelin thrower Goldie Sayers has been receiving treatment on an elbow injury ahead of athletics competition at the London Olympics.

The 30-year-old suffered the problem in her last throw at the Diamond League meeting at Crystal Palace 12 days ago and has been getting it treated at UK Athletics' training camp in Monte Gordo, Portugal.

Sayers, who has been plagued by injury problems since finishing fourth at the Beijing Olympics, broke the British record at Crystal Palace, throwing 66.17 metres to win the competition.
