GOTHIC HALLOWEEN

Visitors are welcomed - Hammer style - by a hearse outside the Cromwell Street entrance.

Entertainment includes magicians, tarot readers and a short vampire film presented by The Halloween Society. There's also music from Slimelight DJ Steve Weeks and a chance for goths to be immortalised in a Night Of Record photo for the V&A's archive.

You can even have a Halloween makeover, courtesy of Mac. Curator-led tours take in the spookiest exhibits and Gothic: Art For England will be open all evening.

Victoria & Albert Museum Cromwell Road, SW7 (020-7942 2000). Fri 31 Oct, 6.30pm-10pm, £8, concs £5, under-18s free.
