She’s an unlikely role model, but it seems youngsters can’t get enough of troubled singer Amy Winehouse.

The 22-year-old was in good spirits as several young fans descended on her North London doorstep desperate to catch a glimpse of their idol.

Winehouse smiled and chatted with the boisterous crowd whilst signing autographs and posing for pictures.

The imaginative group brought numerous objects for her to sign such as bongo drums, a skateboard and a basketball.

Earlier today the singer confirmed she will perform at a huge concert in celebration of Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday.

The 46664 concert will take place at London's Hyde Park on June 27.

Winehouse and her band will join top artists including Queen and Paul Rodgers, Annie Lennox, Simple Minds, Leona Lewis, Sugababes, Razorlight as well as a dozen South African artists including Johnny Clegg, Papa Wemba and the Soweto Gospel Choir.

Will Smith, Oprah Winfrey, Robert De Niro, Forest Whitaker and Lewis Hamilton will also be there.

Concert organisers said Winehouse was "honoured" to add her voice to those who continue to support Mr Mandela and the 46664 organisation, which raises awareness about the impact of Aids and promotes HIV prevention.

Tim Massey, international director of 46664, said: "We are delighted that Amy will be appearing at Hyde Park to celebrate Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday.

"Amy joins an illustrious list of names showing their support for 46664 and the fight against Aids."
