Staff at the Cumbrian Antiques Centre in Brampton were lost for words when the superstar and her entourage walked in and spent half an hour browsing.
The 65-year-old singer picked out a shaving mug, opera glasses, lace pommels, kitchen scales, postcards, toffee tins, a 1930s compact bag and two pictures.
Although the shop does not normally accept American Express, it made an exception when Miss Streisand flashed her card.
The singer stopped off at the shop on Thursday after attempting to endear herself to locals with her comments during a performance in Manchester earlier last week.
Starstruck staff were too scared to ask for her autograph and had to content themselves with the credit card slip, which she signed B. Brolin - her married name since she wed actor James Brolin in 1998.
