Amy Childs wants to do Strictly

Amy Childs wants to take part in Strictly Come Dancing.

The 21-year-old star - who shot to fame in The Only Way Is Essex before quitting after two series to pursue other interests - says she would love to compete in the BBC One show and claims she turned it down last year in order to go on Celebrity Big Brother.

So she is now hoping producers ask her again.

She told the Daily Star: "I really want to do Strictly. I was offered it last year but I turned it down fro Big Brother, which I don't regret. But I hope to do it if it's offered again this year."

Amy recently said she felt she had become a "brand" since leaving TOWIE and is pleased with the direction her career is heading after signing up with celebrity manager Claire Powell.

She said: "Leaving the show was the best thing I did. I feel upset that some of the cast seem to have things to say about me. But maybe that's because I left first and I'm doing really good things for myself.

"Claire Powell's made me Amy Childs the brand, not just Amy Childs from TOWIE.
