Just what

is

Well, if you're a Hollywood star who has her heart set on such a huge, heavy tub, it takes a massive crane mounted on a truck and more than a dozen workmen to handle the complicated, delicate operation.

And that is what happened for Elizabeth actress Cate Blanchett. The huge operation caused chaos in the street outside her £1.3 million property in Hove today. But there were no complaints about the disruption from the neighbours.

One, 25-year-old Gary Banks, said: "It was quite exciting and dozens of people stopped to watch what turned into a massive operation. You hear of Robbie Williams and the like shipping in extra luxuries for their homes, but you don't expect it to happen in your street. The men were really careful and it took a good couple of hours to get it off the ground and through a back window."

Australian-born Blanchett, 34, moved to the Brighton coast from Islington earlier this year. She has finished filming The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King, the last of the trilogy, and is now making The Aviator, about Howard Hughes, in which she plays Katharine Hepburn.

The star, married to screenwriter Andrew Upton, is thought to have ordered the bath in time for the arrival of her second child. The couple already have a twoyearold son, Dashiell.
