Chris Hughes has hit an all-time low after his Love Island BFF Kem Cetinay forgot his name.

The pair enjoyed a bromance on the ITV reality show last summer – but Cetinay has since forged a blossoming friendship with Jake Quickenden on Dancing on Ice.

Hughes revealed that Cetinay is so pally with the former X Factor contestant that he accidentally called Hughes “Jake” during on unfortunate incident.

Hughes tweeted: “I’m in actual shock.... Kem, as in, @KemCetinay has just called me Jake, as in, @JakeQuickenden and held his hand over his mouth in shock for about 2 minutes, whilst trying to apologise. Never I have felt this low. This week is done.”

Fans were quick to encourage Hughes to find a new friend with one telling him to “dump” Cetinay while another quoted 90s singer Roxette, posting: “It must’ve been love, but it’s over now....”

Others failed to comfort him with one tweeting: “Wait till he starts telling you he will be a little late home from work tonight.”

Another wrote: “Wait till he starts telling you he will be a little late home from work tonight #adultery.”

It’s been a rocky few weeks for Cetinay and Hughes, with Hughes last week joking that he had blocked Quickenden on Twitter.

Hughes tweeted his ‘dislike’ of the singer after he was shown with his arm around Cetinay on Dancing on Ice.

The former Love Island star wrote: “Just blocked @JakeQuickenden.”

Quickenden replied: “Ahahahah you legend, I know he’s yours don’t worry.”
