Danny Cipriani follows Kelly Brook's lead by getting kit off for anti-fur campaign
Rugby star Danny Cipriani appears to be doing all he can to win back his ex-girlfriend Kelly Brook — even stripping off for animal charity PETA.
The 26-year-old is following in the model-turned-actress’s footsteps by posing nearly nude for a campaign.
The Sale Sharks star is the first rugby player to appear in an advert for the charity, which in the past has featured a host of semi-naked celebrities.
Brook, 34, broke up with Cipriani in August following allegations he cheated on her. She has been single ever since but in past weeks has been pictured on a series of dates, most recently with David McIntosh, better known as Tornado from TV show Gladiators, on New Year’s Eve.
She was also seen sharing a candlelit dinner with actor Chace Crawford only days after being linked with model Harvey Newton-Hayden.
However Cipriani is said to be trying to win back her affection, and bought Brook an expensive Cartier Love bracelet for Christmas.
His public support for PETA is bound to endear him to the actress. The picture was taken by renowned portrait photographer Trevor Leighton, with Cipriani showing off his tattoos and wearing only a small pair of shorts. The fly-half said he was “proud” to pose with the slogan “Ink, Not Mink”.
He said: “The rugby pitch is known for being a tough environment, but it’s nothing compared to what some animals go through when being hunted for their fur. I’m proud to be helping PETA raise awareness of how to help these animals — all you have to do is not wear them!”
