Ed Sheeran teamed up to co-host The Radio One Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw and special guest Taylor Swift this morning.

The Thinking Out Loud singer attempted to announce the weather forecast as part of his hosting duties.

Sheeran said that "chapstick" would be necessary and told fans: “There is the chance that you will step in a puddle today so please do not wear slippers outside.”

The 24-year-old singer was joined by Swift, and the pair spoke to Grimshaw about crazy fans and run-ins with the paparazzi before taking part in a game of Eds verses Tayls.

Swift – who was recently named the world’s most popular artist of 2014 – spoke to Grimshaw about why she posted so many photos to her Instagram account during her holiday with HAIM.

“We spent this whole trip feeling like this is amazing we’ve been so sly there’s no paparazzi,” she said. “Then we’re on our last day and we’re whale watching. We see a fishing boat about half a mile away. We were like ‘That’s a little weird we’re in the middle of the ocean scuba diving’.

“My security got out binoculars and sees that they have a huge long lens camera at which point we go back to the beach and realise they got pictures of us in our bikinis.

“I didn’t want them to make like £100k so I was like we’re getting on the bow of the boat to take better bikini shots so they don’t take better pictures than ours.”

The Shake It Off singer also revealed that a fan who she nicknamed Aquaman "swam in the ocean for a mile to get to my house".

Sheeran then joined Fearne Cotton to perform a string of hits in the Live Lounge.

Swift and Sheeran are set to perform at the BRIT Awards tomorrow night.
