Singer Frankie Bridge has revealed that her eldest son was hospitalised with breathing problems.

Bridge, 26, said her two-year-old son Parker was experiencing breathing difficulties as a result of a cold he was unable to shake-off.

The mother-of-two – who is married to footballer Wayne Bridge – recently gave birth to their second child, son Carter, so exlained that Wayne took Parker to hospital while she stayed at home to nurse her newborn.

“He ended up having to stay overnight so Wayne stayed at hospital while I was home with Carter,” the singer wrote in her column for OK!

“It felt so wrong to be separated, but I would have been no good at the hospital because I would have got really emotional.”

The Saturdays singer said it was difficult to see her son so distressed, but revealed that he put on a brave front.

“It was horrible to see Parker so upset and stressed out but he was very brave,” she said.

“He had an oxygen mask to help with his breathing and they’ve given him an inhaler to use when he needs it."
