Kanye West is yet to take a step-back in 2018 with three solo projects and six albums altogether, including those he’s produced and worked on, under his belt this year alone.

It’s been a busy time for the rapper having only just released solo project Ye back in June and a number of collaborations since, including Kid Cudi on Kids See Ghosts and a speculated joint-venture with Chance The Rapper.

With new album Yhandi on the way, here's everything you need to know:

What do we know about the new album so far?

Yhandi is largely speculated as being a follow-up to West’s 2013 album Yeezus and will be West’s ninth studio album.

The 41-year-old teased the release on Twitter, sharing an image of a MiniDisc mimicking the exact format of the Yeezus cover.

Both titles also follow the same theme of combing West’s nickname, Yeezy, with Biblical and historic representations of peace. For example Jesus is referenced in the title of Yeezus and Ghandi in the case of Yhandi.

What songs are going to be on it?

From what we know so far, there has been little fuss in the lead-up to Yhandi with just over a week’s advance notice being given, whereas the lead-up to Ye was a two-month stint.

Although it may seem like West is yet to release any singles in the run-up, in August he released XTYC, a song about impure thoughts he’s had about his sister-in laws, which may well be a contender for the album.

Earlier this month he also released I Love It featuring Lil Pump which could also end up making an appearance on Yhandi.

When is it out?

Although there is no confirmed release date for Yhandi, West shared a date on social media.

He simply wrote: “YANDHI 9 29 18.”

The date teases that West may well unveil his latest venture on September 29, the same day he is due to appear on Saturday Night Live.

Fans have speculated that West will tie the release in with his musical performance on the night with West hinting that the day will be a “big day, big news.”
