Jake Quickenden and Danielle Fogarty ‘split just seven months after engagement’

Jake Quickenden and Danielle Fogarty have reportedly split just seven months after they got engaged.

The Dancing on Ice winner and his reality TV fiancée are said to have had a tense few months following recent female attention Quickenden received following his stint on the show.

He was set to join The Dreamboys strip group, which supposedly played a role in the couple parting ways after three-years together.

A source told The Sun: “Winning Dancing On Ice has meant Jake's had other priorities.

“He's been touring the country with Kem [Cetinay] on the show's tour and getting a lot of female attention, which hasn't been easy for Danielle.

“Things aren't going to get any easier on that front either, with Jake set to join The Dreamboys strip group - it's caused a lot of friction and they've both decided to take a breather.”

Reports of the duo’s split comes just weeks after the former X Factor contestant gushed over his romance with Fogarty.

Speaking to Mail Online in March, he revealed that his other half was in charge of the planning for their wedding.

He said: “I haven't got a clue to be honest. We'll just roll with it and see how it goes. Until I've got a day off she's making all the arrangements, so it's a bit of a surprise party for me.

“It's going to be towards the end of the year. We're thinking September, October, November, December time.

“I think that's pretty much the end of the year, so we're just trying to get dates because I'm busy and Danielle works and we want all our friends and family there.”

He added: “Danielle's done a lot of it because I've been so busy but I think we're pretty good. We're figuring out what date right now but she's got her dress sorted so yeah, it's all looking pretty good. It's running smoothly.

“It's all thanks to her and her mum and my mum.”

The couple announced their engagement in September last year after 29-year-old Quickenden proposed at the duo’s favourite wine bar.

Representatives for Quickenden and Fogarty declined to comment.
