Jason Statham slapped to the floor with giant hand on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon

Jason Statham suffered several blows to the face with a giant prosthetic hand as he took part in a game on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Statham and Fallon set down to play Slapjack, which is similar to Blackjack, but after each round the winner slaps the loser across the face with a giant prosthetic hand.

Clearly feeling nervous at the prospect of receiving a giant hand slap from British tough guy Statham, Fallon said: "I'm so scared right now."

But it was the Spy actor who was dealt the blows.

After ending on a tie in the first round Fallon smacked Statham off of his chair.

"I did not hit you that hard, this is a foam hand, that's not real!" Fallon insisted. "Don't get me back for that!"

The actor – who is dating Rosie Huntington-Whiteley – failed to do better in the second round which saw him fall to the floor after another giant hand slap from Fallon, who also attempted to mimic Statham’s British accent.

Eager to get Fallon back, the talk show host obliged and allowed Statham to throw a slap at the end of the game.

The 47-year-old actor was on the chat show to promote his new film Spy which sees him play secret agent Rick Ford alongside Melissa McCarthy as Susan Cooper.
