Jessica Ennis wipes the floor with the competition on the Savoy's red carpet

Britain's golden girl Jessica Ennis opted for a simple red number at the Jaguar Academy of Sports Awards at the Savoy hotel.

TV presenter Natalie Pinkham also chose red and Denise Lewis looked stunning in purple.

Ennis, who won the heptathlon at London 2012, was named most inspirational sportswoman of the year, and said: “A lot of hard work went into winning that gold.”
