Sharon Osbourne has said Kanye West is “obsessed” with Taylor Swift after weighing in on the musicians' publicised spat.

Swift ignited a feud with West after she denied West’s claim that he asked her to approve the lyric “I made that b**** famous” before releasing his single, Famous.

Kim Kardashian hit back and posted a video which appeared to show the Blank Space singer granting permission during a phone call with West.

Addressing the ongoing feud, Osbourne, 63, threw her support behind Swift and said West "picked the wrong" star to attack.

Speaking on US chat show The Talk she said: "I honestly think that Kanye is obsessed with Taylor Swift. Seriously, he has an obsession. I think he's obsessed with the power that she has, with the money that she has… but he picked on the wrong one."

"He never thought that Taylor would become the powerhouse that she has become. And he doesn't have that power in the music industry that she has."

Swift released a statement following Kardashian's Snapchat video and claimed she was the victim of "character assassination".

Joseph Kahn - who directed Swift's videos for Bad Blood, Blank Space and Wildest Dreams - jumped to her defence and said it was ironic that the "most untalented women in the world [is] attacking one of the most talented".

Kahn tweeted: “Kanye didn't say the line 'I made that b**** famous' on the call. It's like saying 'I want to love you' without 'in the a**'."

He continued: “People always ask me how to be famous. My answer is simple. Have your dad defend murder of a woman. Release sex tape. That's it. Good luck."

Iconic graffiti artist Lushsux mocked the feud and erected a giant Swift mural to commemorate the 'death of her career'.
