Kelly Clarkson gives birth to first son Remington Alexander

Kelly Clarkson and husband Brandon Blackstock have welcomed their first son into the world.

The singer, who gave birth to daughter River Rose 20 months ago, has just given birth to son Remington Alexander.

Announcing the news on her Twitter account on Thursday, the former American Idol star wrote:

“Our little baby boy has arrived!! Remington Alexander Blackstock was born 4/12/16 & he is healthy & we couldn’t be happier or more in love!”

Clarkson, 33, who was crowned the winner of the first ever American Idol back in 2002, recently said that she wouldn’t be having any more than two children.

“OOh, no, we are done. Oh good Lord, yes, I can't be pregnant again. This will be our number four total, so we're good.

'Honestly, the first one was really rough, and I was like, ‘Oh, it can't happen again,’ and no it happened, like, way worse this time.”

She added:” I just get hospitalised, and I have to get fluids. It's just, like, my body was not made to be pregnant. I wish I was like the girl that ... it's beautiful, but it's not.”

Just last week Clarkson made an appearance on the last episode of the singing contest that made her famous.

The singer impressed the audience with a medley of her greatest hits including Since You’ve Been Gone and Miss Independent.
