Kevin Spacey stole the show at this year’s amFAR Gala, sending up Donald Trump and Bill Clinton on stage.

The House of Cards star, who was emceeing the event in Cannes on Thursday night, mocked the Republican presidential candidate in front of a crowd of actors and models.

In character as Jonny Carson, Spacey reportedly drew gasps from the audience during his opening monologue.

After telling the crowd that Cannes regular Sharon Stone wouldn’t be attending this year as she was fighting another disease, he added:

“The name of the disease is Donald Trump.

“Foreign films contain two things Donald Trump hates the most: foreigners and reading,” he added.

Making a joke about the candidate’s chin, he said: “I don’t think I could ever vote for a candidate who wasn’t in favor of separation of man and face.

“Donald Trump would probably love it here, because there are so many casinos to bankrupt.”

Going on to lampoon a number of celebrities, including Shia LaBeouf, he said:

“They forecast 30% chance of showers. By that they meant Shia LaBeouf would actually take one.”

He then got into character as Bill Clinton, saying: “I just want to tell you the state of the United States is a f****** mess, since I left.”

The annual gala, which raises funds to fight HIV and AIDS, also featured an auction and fashion show.
