Lucy Mecklenburgh has slammed reports she has fallen out with her boyfriend Ryan Thomas after he was pictured looking visibly upset as he left an event in London.

Mecklenburgh and Thomas both attended Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of The Year bash on Wednesday night, but were seen leaving in separate taxis.

Thomas tried to hide his face as he left after his girlfriend, with an eyewitness claiming he looked “choked up,” according to the Mirror.

But Mecklenburgh hit back claiming her early exit was down to being ill.

“When you have cold/flu and the press try to turn it into a row with your boyfriend,” she posted on her Instagram account.

She then called on fans to send her advice on how to tackle the virus, posting: “Natural cold/flu Remedies pleaseee.”

Earlier in the evening Mecklenburgh had posted a Boomerang of Thomas photobombing her as she tried to take a selfie.

The celeb pair have been dating for almost a year after meeting on Bear Grylls’ Celebrity Island.

Mecklenburgh was in tears over the former Coronation Street star earlier this year after he was accused of punching Roxanne Pallett during a play fight on Celebrity Big Brother.

The Emmerdale actress accused Thomas of “deliberately” hitting her “repeatedly” in the ribs.

Mecklenburgh said it was “killing [her]” to watch her partner “go through hell”.

Pallett later apologised saying she should not have used the word “deliberately”.
