Coronation Street star Lucy-Jo Hudson's excitement at being pregnant
Coronation Street star Lucy-Jo Hudson has revealed that she is expecting her second child.
The new baby will be her first with boyfriend Lewis Devine. Hudson is also mother to five-year-old Sienna Rae, who she shares with ex-husband Alan Halsall.
The actress, who played Katy Harris on the ITV soap, posted a photo from an ultrasound scan to share the news with her Instagram followers.
“This has been so hard to keep quiet but today was the day @lewisdevine and I got to tell Sienna the best news!!!” she wrote.
“We are 13 weeks pregnant and so very excited to extend our little family…
“Sienna is so excited to be a big sister… and Lew is ecstatic to become a daddy for the first time and I am so happy to be having another gorgeous baby! No other feeling like it xxx.”
Hudson, who has also appeared on Hollyoaks and Wild at Heart, received messages of congratulations from her former co-stars.
Hollyoaks’ Stephanie Davies wrote “I am SOOOO HAPPY FOR YOUUUUU” while Nikki Sanderson, who has appeared alongside Hudson on both Coronation Street and the Channel 4 soap, wrote: “Congratulations hunni!!”
Co-star Chelsee Healey added: “Awwwww congratulations Luce too you all [sic].”
Hudson married ex-partner Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs on Coronation Street, in 2009 after meeting him on set.
They briefly broke up in 2016 but reconciled soon after, then announced their divorce in 2018.
The couple vowed to “remain friends and devoted Mummy and Daddy to our daughter Sienna.”
Hudson began dating Devine in 2018, shortly after announcing her split from Halsall. The couple met while starring in a pantomime the previous year.
Halsall is now in a relationship with Coronation Street’s Tisha Merry.
