Mel B and Geri Horner used to drive topless during the Spice Girls heyday.

The story, recorded in Mel B’s first autobiography in 2002, has resurfaced in the wake of her claim she enjoyed a romantic tryst with Horner back in the day.

In Catch A Fire: The Autobiography, the singer, real name Melanie Brown, recalls a time they stripped off behind the wheel on a motorway.

“Sometimes Geri and I went to bed on Saturday afternoon, woke up around 2am, got dressed up and went to the all-nighter at Ministry Of Sound,” she wrote.

“We used to drive down the motorway with our boobs out for a laugh. It was hysterical until we noticed a weird-looking guy driving alongside us with a manic grin on his face.”

After revealing the man freaked them out, she continued: “Geri swerved into another lane and eventually we lost him. We were really shaken. Did it stop us flashing our boobs? No.”

Mel B revealed she slept with bandmate Geri Horner

Brown, who was known as Scary Spice, recently appeared to confirm she had slept with Horner (nee Halliwell) in the Spice Girls’ heyday.

After a grilling from Piers Morgan on his Life Stories series, she revealed the group all slept in the same bed but that it was “like that” with Horner.

The singer, whose moniker was Ginger Spice, denied the “disappointing” and “untrue” claims.

In a statement a representative told Standard Online: “Geri loves the Spice Girls: Emma, Melanie, Melanie and Victoria [Beckham]. She would like [the fans] to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family.

Piers Morgan says he believes Mel B over Geri

“Moving forward, Geri can’t wait to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories.”

It was reported that Brown’s claims had cost the group a world tour over tensions between Horner and Brown. But a representative for the group later told the Standard these claims were “inaccurate and factually untrue”.

The band currently has 13 dates with the original line-up, minus Victoria Beckham.
