Monty Python pair Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin are reportedly set to reunite on a new film.

Palin is said to have signed up for the role of Don Quixote in The Man Who Killed Don Quixote with Star Wars actor Adam Driver also in the cast.

Gilliam has tried to make the film several times before and Palin and Driver replace an earlier pair of actors - Jack O'Connell and John Hurt - who were originally connected with the project.

Other casting announcements made at the festival include Emily Mortimer playing an eccentric bookshop owner alongside Bill Nighy.

The Bookshop, set in 1950s England and based on a novel by Penelope Fitzgerald, is the story of how her character scandalises a small English town by exposing it to controversial literature including the classic Lolita.

It was also announced that Jeremy Irons and Jack Huston are teaming up for a father and son road movie with Irons playing a celebrated actor trying to reconnect with his child.
